In fact, in ancient Greece, Egypt, India, the Americas and China, massage and bodywork therapies were the first medical systems employed.

In recent years, massage has experienced a Renaissance in the United States. It has taken a legitimate place in the pantheon of alternative and complementary therapies. Now, the client has the opportunity to take more active control over their health care.

With Naturopathic, Chinese Medicine and Chiropractic doctors, Physical Therapists, Medical Doctors and, yes, Licensed Massage Therapists, the client has more treatment options than ever before. Of course, for emergency situations, qualified health professionals must always first be consulted. However, for addressing many common aches and pains, assisting recovery from medical procedures and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the many forms of massage therapy can be of great value.

Cliff Seretan brings his far ranging expertise to massage therapy. His focus is predominantly on Eastern massage therapies, but he is also versed in Western (Swedish) modalities. When administering Eastern therapies, the client is fully clothed in light, loose fitting attire for comfort and so the therapist may palpate the important points indicated in such modalities.

Rather than follow a prescribed routine, he customizes each session to suit the unique and changing needs of the client. Cliff prefers the client take an active role in their treatment, so they may work together as a team to ensure the best possible session outcome.
